Lots of shopping and dining here! Downtown West Palm Beach

Get some sun at Peanut Island

What else could be better than soaking up the sun at Peanut Island and hanging out in the water? After your idyllic day at the beach, you can grill some meat at the grilling stations or spend the night camping on the beach. Visit the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens (my favorite)

One of my favorite things to do in Palm Beach is to visit the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. Located west of Delray Beach, Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a 16-acre park with Japanese gardens, breathtaking bonsai displays, and an Asian art gallery. A visit to Morikami Museum also gives you the chance to enjoy Japanese tea ceremonies and cultural festivals (which are held several times a year).

The garden, built around a central pond and a winding stream,  opened to the public in 1977, and the museum, inspired by a traditional tea house, was built in 1993 with a lovely courtyard garden and a lakeside terrace. Walking around the garden with its stone pagodas, bridges, bonsai trees, Japanese lanterns, and flowering trees will make you feel as if you are in another world.

This palm tree-lined street is ideal for a stroll even if you can’t afford luxury brands. There are many hidden places to explore on Worth avenue – rare books stores, pretty garden patios, and fun sculptures.
